Solar Water Pump Card

Solar Pump

For children in communities without a reliable water supply, every day can begin with a long and exhausting journey to collect enough water for drinking, cooking and washing. Hours spent walking for water can mean less time in the classroom, fewer chances to play, and greater risks along the way.

Powered by the sun, a solar pump can help move water from its source to the homes, schools and health facilities where it is needed most. When clean water is brought closer, a difficult journey can become a simple everyday chore. Children can arrive at school on time, families can grow nutritious food, and parents can spend more time earning an income and caring for their children.

This gift is part of ChildFund New Zealand’s wider water and sanitation work.

Your support could contribute to the equipment, infrastructure and community-led planning needed to build sustainable water systems, giving children more time to learn, play, and enjoy the childhood they deserve.
