When a child or young person is frightened, overwhelmed or experiencing violence, knowing where to turn can make all the difference. Without safe and confidential support, they may feel they have to face an impossible situation alone. 

Helplines such as Seif Ples in Solomon Islands and TokSpot in Papua New Guinea give people a place to be heard, access mental-health support and seek help when they are experiencing violence or abuse. That first conversation can connect a child or family with information, protection and services that help them move towards safety.
