Emergency Food
After an emergency, a child may not know where their next meal will come from. Their family may have lost their home, crops or livelihood, while damaged roads and closed markets can make finding food almost impossible.
Emergency food can give a child the nourishment they urgently need during a frightening and uncertain time. A reliable meal can ease hunger, protect their health and give them the energy to cope, recover and begin returning to the everyday activities that help childhood feel familiar again.
This gift is part of ChildFund New Zealand’s wider emergency-response work.
