Imagine not knowing if the water your family drinks is safe. For many children, dirty water means sickness, missed school, and hours spent collecting water instead of learning or playing. Dirty and unsafe water is a major contributor to diseases like diarrhoea. And for children, it can lead to dehydration, malnutrition, and even death.

Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet many children lack sufficient access to this life-giving resource.

Your gift of a Water Purification Unit changes that. Using the power of the sun, each unit can purify 10 litres of water in just a few hours, providing around 6,000 litres of clean, safe water to a family every year. Each unit lasts 7–10 years, protecting children’s health well into the future.

Thanks to our partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), any donations used in this area of our work is multiplied by five. That means even more families gain access to safe water, along with hygiene education to keep children healthy, in school, and free to enjoy their childhood.
