Hilary Barry, ChildFund New Zealand Ambassador 

Seeing her sponsored children grow alongside her own sons has meant the world to award-winning journalist and television presenter Hilary Barry. Over the years the whole family has enjoyed writing to and reading updates from their sponsored children. 

"I'm delighted to lend my support to ChildFund New Zealand. Our two sons have for many years written letters to our sponsored children, and we all loved hearing what they are up to and the wonderful work that ChildFund is doing in the community." 

Hilary is currently co-host of Seven Sharp on TVNZ One and has worked in radio and television in New Zealand for over 25 years. She and her husband Mike are long-time ChildFund New Zealand child sponsors. 

In 2011, Hilary traveled to Kenya with ChildFund New Zealand CEO Paul Brown to report on a drought crisis there. Hilary and Mike  currently sponsor a boy in Zambia.
