ChildFund New Zealand CEO provides update on COVID-19

ChildFund New Zealand CEO provides update on COVID-19 | ChildFund New Zealand

As Kiwis begin planning for life beyond COVID-19 Alert Level 3, ChildFund New Zealand CEO Paul Brown takes a moment to share his reflections in the first of a series of upcoming videos to be shared with the ChildFund team and greater New Zealand whanau.

In the video, Paul extends his appreciation (on behalf of ChildFund), for the continued support of our donors, partners, ambassadors and supporters during this unprecedented lockdown. It has been a challenging time but, thanks to you, we've been able to continue our life-changing work.

Paul also shared a message of thanks to the ChildFund team, for their ongoing dedication to our work, while dealing with a new way of working, family and home-life challenges. It doesn't go unnoticed, and it has meant the children we serve in the countries where we work can continue to receive the benefits of ChildFund's important programmes.

Finally, Paul reiterated the importance of claiming your tax back at this uncertain financial time. The IRD has approximately $1Billion NZD left unclaimed, and we want to get the message out to our supporters: now is the time to claim it back! Thanks to a new partnership we have formed with startup Fund a Future, it's never been easier to claim your donation tax rebates. About ChildFund's response to COVID-19:

For more than 80 years, ChildFund has been helping children and youth to thrive. ChildFund is currently responding to COVID-19 in 60 of the world's most vulnerable countries, reaching 6.3 million children, youth and family members. We have four priorities to stop the spread and reduce the impact of COVID-19: Stop the spread through preventive programming; ensure children get the food they need to survive; keep children and youth safe from violence (physical and emotional); and help children do their job -- continue learning.
